FALADEEPIKA (PHALADEEPIKA) - A BOOK ON ASTRLOGY

The ideas that there are innumerable planets and that there may be other solar systems are deeply rooted in Indian astrology. The positions of the planets, their attraction to each other, and the nature of the eclipses are explained in detail here. Acharya Varahamihira has described the appearance of the planet Kuja (Mars) as agile, reddish-white and marrow-based.

Modern scientists say that the reddish-white color is visible because of the heavy snow cover on the Kuja. The very word Kuja (son of the earth) reveals the possibility of life on that planet. Moderns say the same thing, right? Aryabhatta has explained many scientific facts such as the movement of the sun and other planets is the root of illusion and the planets do not have their own luminosity.
The astrological source of the Vedas is called the eye. The prescription of sacrifices exists in accordance with the time. That is why astrology is also called the science of time. The activities of sacrifice and others, such as the constellation, date, Vasara, Paksha, month, season, Ayana, Samvatsara, etc., are certainly subject to astrology.

That is why it is said:

वेदा हि यज्ञार्थमभिप्रवृत्ताः कालाभिपूर्वा विहिताश्च यज्ञाः।

तस्मादिदं कालविधानशास्त्रं यो ज्योतिषं वेद स वेदयज्ञम्॥

It means, For the Vedas are initiated for the purpose of sacrifice and the sacrifices prescribed

before time. Therefore this is the scripture of the law of time; he who knows astrology is

the sacrifice of the Vedas.

The astrological book फलदीपिका describes about all these subject matters.

For Eg.
