चत्वारि = FOUR

In the realm of spirituality, the number 4 holds great significance. It symbolizes the four elements of air, fire, water, and earth, representing the importance of collaboration and unity in achieving our goals. Additionally, the number 4 embodies practicality, structure, and hard work.

The number of order in the universe is 4—the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water; the four points of the compass; the four phases of the Moon (new, half-moon waxing, full, half-moon waning).

Other examples for the importance of number four are the 4 sides and the 4 corners of a square, the rare four-leafed clover, a symbol of good luck in some cultures, in Hinduism the 4 faces of Brahma the creator, the 4 directions, the 4 elements water, fire earth and air and, finally, the 4 human.

Number 4 is often associated with stability, practicality, and a strong sense of order. Let's delve into its core attributes: Foundation and Stability: Number 4 is a symbol of a solid foundation. Individuals influenced by this number are renowned for their dependability and ability to create stability in their lives.

Numerology Number 4 is associated with planet Rahu and indicates energetic, knowledgeable, clever, and confident individuals with leadership skills. They are good at keeping secrets, love creativity, and have a sharp memory. However, they can be rebellious and overconfident sometimes, leading to negative traits.

In Sanskrit, the following words indicate the number 4:

1)  वेदाः, or आम्नायानि (ऋक्, यजुः, साम, अथर्वाः) = Rg, Yajur, Saama and Atharva;

2) उपायाः (साम, दान, भेद, दण्डाः) = Pleasant Speech, Give Away, Differentiate,                                       and Punishment;

3) आश्रमाः (ब्रह्मचर्य, गृहस्थ, वानप्रस्थ, सन्न्यासाः) = Bachelorship, Household,                                                               Starting to Forest and Renunciation;

4) युगाः (कृत, त्रेता, द्वापर, कलियुगाः) = Four types of Eras;

5) समुद्रः or अब्धिः, orधिः = Four side oceans;

6) पुरुषार्थाः (धर्म, अर्थ, काम, मोक्षाः) = Righteousness, Earning, Love and                                                       Liberation.
