ESSENCE OF NUMBERS द्वे = TWO

द्वे  = TWO

The number 2 is the smallest and the only even prime number. As the smallest prime number, two is also the smallest non-zero pronic number, and the only pronic prime.

In Sanskrit the following words indicate the number 2:

1)  नेत्र or नयन or चक्षुः or अक्षि = Eyes;

2) हस्त or पाणि = Hands;

3) यम or युगल or युग्म = Pair

4) पक्ष = One Fortnight (indicates 15 Days for Solar & Lunar days in a            month);

5) अश्विनिदेवताs the pair of Divine Physicians;

6) अयन = Six months viz., Dakshinayana & Uttharayana.

Number 2 in numerology is a lucky number. Number 2 is ruled by the Moon representing sensitivity, emotions , Mother , travel , Home and creativity. Number 2 is similar to the Cancer sign ruled by the Moon in Astrology.

The number 2 symbolizes many of the basic dualities: me/you, male/female, yes/no, alive/dead, left/right, yin/yang, and so on. Dualities are common in human approaches to the world, probably because of our preference for two-valued logic—yet another duality, true/false.

Number 2 in astrology, linked to Taurus, promotes balance, harmony, and compassion. It underscores the significance of kindness, understanding, and nurturing strong relationships to create a better world for all.

Bhagavad Gita says:

सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ  ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि

sukhaduḥkhe same kṛtvā lābhālābhau jayājayau,
tato yuddhāya yujyasva naivaṁ pāpamavāpsyasi.

Having made pleasure and pain, gain and loss, victory and defeat equal, engage in battle for the sake of battle; thus, you shall not incur sin.
